Our Breakfast Club at St Jude’s Junior School provides high quality care for children aged 4 to 11 years. We will be open every morning from 7:30am. The children enter via the school’s hall, we play in the hall until 8am, then we go to our YR4 class for breakfast, and further play, until the children go to school. The session includes a healthy, balanced nutritious breakfast. The children can choose their own breakfast, we encourage the children to serve themselves, with support as and when needed. Breakfast is served until 8:15am, with a range of options which include cereals, bread items such as toast, crumpets and croissants, cereal bars, and plenty of fresh fruit as well as milk, and, water.
During the morning the children will have the opportunity to access a range of activities including arts and crafts, creative resources, reading, puzzles, board games and energetic outdoor/sports hall play.
We pride ourselves on the high quality of our settings and an essential part of this is our staff. Our staff are reliable, experienced and personable childcare practitioners who take an active and natural interest in the individuality of our children, their interests and needs. Thus, our morning themes and activities will be tailored to the needs and interests of the children in their care.
Our team works closely with the school to ensure free flow communication, sharing of information and a smooth transition for our shared children with direct handovers of any important information to the teachers being provided in the morning where needed.
This close working partnership supports us in ensuring that we provide the best possible experiences and care and that our children get the best possible start to their day.
The children can choose their own healthy breakfast and then are able to access a range of activities including arts and crafts, creative resources, reading, puzzles, board games and energetic outdoor play. Breakfast options include a range of cereals, bread goods, cereal bars and plenty of fresh fruit. Breakfast club activities will tie into monthly themes such as ‘space,’ ‘science and engineering,’ and ‘blue sensory month.’ We maximise our use of the environment, ensuring the children are active and leave us feeling energised and ready for an inspired day at school.
Visitors to The Gap Club Ltd are authorised to park within the school’s staff car park during collection time. If the car park is unavailable visitors should park on the surrounding roads.
To access Breakfast Club you need to walk through the metal gate at the front of the school and follow the path round to the hall. Please look out for our directional signs and front gate board.
