Covid-19: Update
A message for all our Parent’s, Carer’s and Children.
The situation the country finds itself in is totally unprecedented, something no one would even imagined may happen at home. When the news of the school closure’s came through, it was our intention to do our very best to keep going to support our Key Workers and schools we work in. Plans were put in place so we could operate some form of provision for the rest of the term and over the Easter holidays and we all hoped we would be able to keep going in some form.
Despite our efforts, the number of families’ staying at home has increased daily and as a result we have reached a stage where we must ensure we put the welfare of everyone first, in particular our children, parents and staff.
Therefore from Friday 27th March all our settings, including holiday club, will be closed. This was not an easy decision for us to make as we had hoped to be able to continue the support we were providing to Key Workers for as long as was needed. 2020 was going to be a big year for us at Gap, and it is our intention for it still to be so. We will be back once circumstances allow, with our Breakfast, After School and Holiday Club’s all ready to go again. Please keep an eye on our website for more updates on re-opening dates and our Facebook page for fun and sporty things to do with the children at home. If you have applied for a job with us, please keep the application open as we are keeping our recruitment process going in readiness for our plans later on this year.
On another note, though we are not open, we will still support you all in anyway we can. If you are running short of essentials at home, need a prescription collecting or simply need a phone call to say hello, if any of us can help, we will.
Finally, to all our families, we thank you for everything you are doing and the support you have shown to us and the team.
Please stay safe and remain strong.
