Our After School Club will provide premium high quality childcare for children aged 4-11 years at Pyrcroft Grange Primary School.
At Pyrcroft Grange our club benefits from the school’s fantastic facilities, both indoors and outdoors. Indoors we regularly operate from the lunch hall where we run a broad range of activities including arts & crafts, construction, mindfulness and mini-world. We have access to the main hall, enabling us to organize group games and larger activities.
Outdoors there are a variety of stimulating areas available. Weather depending, we have freeflow daily, enabling the children to make the most of the space next to the hall. The large all-weather playground is a fantastic space for the children to run, move and play together with balls, bats and other sporting equipment. There are also quiet spaces should a child wish to be on their own and have some space.
Gap’s After School Club strives to reinforce Pyrcroft’s OPAL programme, (Outdoor Play and Learning), by ensuring play is as engaging, stimulating and rewarding as possible. Although supervised, children have the scope to craft their own play, make their own decisions, assess their own risks and organize themselves amongst their peers.
Our groups are a mix of children from nursery up to year 6 and every age group has the choice of activities ranging from arts & crafts, dressing up, mindfulness, sports, outdoor play, quiet zones, construction and reading. We also have access to ‘Bessie’ the school bus library.
