The Holiday, Activities and Food Programme was launched by the government in 2021 to local authorities for them to coordinate and provide free holiday provision, including healthy food and enriching activities during the three long school holidays – Easter, Summer and Christmas.
Evidence so far has shown that the HAF programme has had positive impact on children and young people, and that they work best when they:
In 2021, the HAF programme supported hundreds of thousands of children and their families across the country throughout the Easter, Summer and Christmas school holidays.
This holiday provision is for school-aged children, from reception, who receive benefits-related free school meals.
Further information on eligibility for free school meals is available here.
Benefits-related free school meals (FSM) are available to pupils if their parents are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits, and have a claim verified by their school or local authority. You may also be eligible if you fall in to one of the following categories:
– Children on Free School Meals (FSM)
– Pupil Premium children
– Children assessed as being in need
– Looked-after children
– Children with an EHC plan
– Children assessed as otherwise vulnerable
– Children living in areas of high deprivation
We are delighted to announce that we will be working in partnership with Club4 – Active Surrey to run HAF funded places at two of our Surrey venues in Easter 2023!
St Jude’s CofE Junior School in Englefield Green
Staines Preparatory School in Staines
Places will be available at both venues from the 3rd April – 6th April 2023 with bookings open now via the e-vouchers system.
All sessions will include a hot lunch, that meets the school food standards, and snacks to cover the duration of the session.
You can find out more about Club4 here.
Bookings are currently open for our Easter 2023 HAF Programme for eligible children either living in Surrey or attending a Surrey school. If your child attends a school in Surrey, you will receive a link and code to book directly through your school via the Evouchers system.
If your child does not attend a school in Surrey, please do get in touch with us as we may still be able to offer you a HAF funded place.
Bookings will be allocated on a first come first serve basis and we will have a limited number of places available at each site per day.
