Services to you

Our Offering

If your school is looking at their wraparound provision, either replacing existing provision or setting up brand new provision, we would love to talk to you to see how we can support your school, families and children.

We offer outstanding, quality childcare, and are one of the first successful providers to work with local authorities to provide out of school childcare for local schools. We have continued to remain as a leading provider and are one of the few providers who have maintained their 100% Ofsted record since opening in 2002. We are also one of the few providers that have continued to provide services for children from 3 years old which allows us to service the full school age range from 3 years – 11 years.

Nearly all our current venues have been based on word of mouth or recommendations where schools have approached us to provide quality childcare for their parents and children.

Our Service to you

We pride ourselves on being more than just a service to the schools and families that we support. We understand the practical and logistical demands and challenges that schools face and we are here to support through the various different services that we can provide.  All of our clubs are unique and so our highly experienced, qualified and dedicated team will work with your school to tailor our provision to meet your needs and the needs of your families and community.

Why Us

  • Flexible service offering
  • We manage the service for all clubs directly as The Gap Club and/or can manage a back-office service delivering childcare as part of the School
  • We manage the entire, or part of the, process from booking and invoicing to recruiting staff and performing suitability checks, thus giving your school a “hassle free”, steady and stable revenue stream through the provision of high quality wraparound childcare.

For Children

We offer our simple 3G approach for children to be able to start the school day

Go…

Get Ready

Our Breakfast Clubs ensure that the children start their day in the right way. Our healthy, balanced and nutritious breakfast is coupled with our engaging yet calm and mindful environment to ensure that the children are energised and ready for their busy day ahead at school.

We provide an array of breakfast items to chose from including cereals, bread items such as toast, crumpets and croissants, yoghurts, fresh fruit, porridge, soft boiled eggs and cereal bars as well as milk, water and fresh fruit juice. Our breakfasts are a social occasion for our children as well as actively supporting independence as the children make their own breakfast choices and serve themselves with the support of our staff.

Get Set

Within our environment, we ensure that there are a range of activities and zones for the children to freely navigate once they have finished their breakfast. Within the session we also incorporate mindfulness activities and physical activities to get the brain and body in an active and engaged mindset for school.

Go

We work with our schools to ensure that there is an agreed handover point for our shared children to ensure that they arrive at their classrooms safely, promptly and are ready to Go.

For Parents

Our Breakfast Clubs normally opens at 7:30am and run until the school day begins, typically 08:30am, thereby giving parents and children time to settle down for your day ahead.

For Children

We fully understand and appreciate that when children finish their school day, they may want to partake in a variety of different activities from:

  • simply relaxing with their friends
  • completing a mindfulness activity to help them unwind
  • engage in an active game to help them let off steam and have fun.

Our clubs provide our children with many different activities and zones from:

  • cooking, arts and crafts and sensory play to gardening,
  • role play, homework areas and large junk modelling and construction zones.

We also fill the gap between lunch and dinner by providing a healthy balanced snack every day which is made up of fruit, vegetables and a form of carbohydrate such as flatbreads, pasta, wraps or beans on toast. Our snack time is a key part of our daily routine and provides a social occasion for the children and staff to share news, interests as well as many other interesting conversations. Our snack aims to be as independent for the children as possible to support the development of their life skills such as making their own choices, spreading, cutting and even washing up!

For Parents

Our After School Clubs open from the end of the school day, typically from 15:00pm and normally run until 18:30pm with various different session options available for our parents. We work with our schools to arrange a safe and secure collection and handover point for our younger children which further supports the strong working partnership we have with our schools.

We work with our schools to ensure that there is an agreed handover point for our shared children to ensure that children arrive at The Gap Club safely.

What our teachers, head teachers & ofsted say

Jackie, Deputy Head – St George’s Weybridge

At St George’s, we are absolutely delighted with our new collaboration with The Gap Club. From initial communications, through contract and terms building and now with our Wraparound care fully underway, we have found all TGC staff to be considerate, professional, enthusiastic, and most importantly, entirely child centred. Little details like feeding in to our EYFS assessment tracking with thoughtful comments on the children’s progress, to an open willingness to adapt provision to suit both the needs of our school and parent body has made the entire process a smooth and positive one. Anecdotal feedback from our pupils in these early days are that they love the Gap Club, they are excited by the varied and interesting provision they offer and they are asking to go there more and more! Our parents have been able to book, pay for and rearrange sessions without needing to directly involve the school at all, which has been hugely supportive to us and a big advantage from an administration perspective. All in all, while only at the beginning of our relationship with TGC, our first impressions truly couldn’t be more complimentary.

What parents say

Great place for kids

Sure! Here’s a sample review for Gap Kids Club in Staines:
I recently had the pleasure of sending my twin girls to Gap Kids Club in Staines, and I just had to share my fantastic experience! The warm and welcoming atmosphere made them feel right at home.

A special shout-out to Ashley, who was absolutely the best! Her enthusiasm and passion for the kids were evident, and she went above and beyond to ensure everyone was having a great time. She engaged with the children in such a fun and nurturing way, making activities enjoyable and memorable.

The variety of programs offered is impressive, and I loved seeing how much the kids enjoyed participating in different activities. It’s clear that the staff genuinely cares about the children and their development.

I highly recommend Gap Kids Club to any parent looking for a fun and safe environment for their kids. Thank you, Ashley, for making Keeva and Eoife’s summer exciting

Gemma, St Jude’s

I just wanted to take the time to feedback on how amazing the Holiday Club at St Jude’s has been this year. It has been so nice to see our children happy, engaged, and thoroughly exhausted after a day full of fun and social interaction. They had clearly missed it more than we had realised. Thank you to all the team for the hard work and perseverance in getting the club up and running .

Paul, Staines

Our children loved having Ellen for the days she was with them over the Summer. I have been reminded to write this feedback by the fact that they still talk about Ellen and her animal trivia! It is clear that she built up a really rapport with them. Certainly our kids loved the days they spent with Ellen.

Louise – Thorpe

My son’s have been attending Gap Club three afternoons a week since Reception. Initially I would try to leave work early so I get them a bit sooner as I was worried their day was too long. I don’t bother anymore, getting them to leave at the end of each day is a struggle because they are having so much fun. The staff are exceptional. There’s a good mix of experienced older staff but also enthusiastic and fun younger ones too. It’s amazing – I wouldn’t be without it. Thank you Gap Club!
