About the setting

Our Holiday Club at Strode’s College in Egham will be opening from October Half Term 2020 onwards. We care for children aged 3 to 11 years every holiday period.

Space and Environment

The children have access to a spacious sports hall, various outdoor play spaces that we will use for our specialist sports activities including a large open field and rugby and football pitches and a lunch area that we will also use for our popular arts and crafts and cooking workshops. In addition to this we have three school year specific Key Group Areas: Gap Early Years (Nursery and Reception), Gap Infants (Years 1 and 2), and Gap Juniors (Years 3+).  Each Key Group area is equipped with a wide variety of resources and age appropriate toys and equipment.

Provision

Our Holiday Clubs provide a jam packed programme of activities, experiences, zones and resources which ensures that there is always something for everyone throughout the session. The spaces that we use are set up to allow our children to partake in a variety of different activities from engaging in active games, group challenges and competitions or simply relaxing with their friends and our staff.

Our age based rooms are set up with a wide variety of resources and social activities that encourage and provide many different play and learning opportunities for our children which are tailored for the different ages and stages that we support. All age base rooms will support social skills through role play and small world resources, learning opportunities through literacy and numeracy activities and games and the development of fine and gross motor skills through sensory and messy activities, mark making and craft and physical and active games.
